(More customer reviews)Purchased this item a few months ago, and it has exceeded my expectations. It does everything I could have asked for in such a simple device.
I have not scientifically tested the accuracy of the device, but it definitely does seem accurate. My console is located within a few feet of my furnace thermostat and they are always within 0.5F of each other. The remote sensor is located outside and I've compared the readings against what the local airport down the road reports and they're always within 1 - 2F of each other.
My only minor disappointment occurred when I unboxed the device to find out that the translucent bezel appearance (that's what I was expecting based on the picture), was just a white/gray painted border. Would have preferred the more modern look, but it's only cosmetic and doesn't detract from the performance of the device.
Overall, I am very pleased with the device. It does a good job at exactly what it advertises, for a very agreeable price point. I'll probably end up purchasing a 2nd unit so that I can have a console on the 2nd floor.
If you're like me and you're looking for a good quality low cost (but not junk) thermometer/hygrometer get this... You won't be disappointed.
